PD-1 is a cell surface
receptor that belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily and is expressed on activated T cells,
B cells, macrophages, myeloid cells and on a subset of thymocytes. PD-1 binds two ligands,
PD-L1 and PD-L2, and plays an important role in down-regulating the immune system. The Human
PD-1 ELISA Kit is designed to quantify natural or recombinant human PD-1 in serum, plasma,
cell culture supernatant and body or lavage fluid.
